Microsoft has developed about seven mobile operating systems so far. Latest such OS from Microsoft is called Windows Phone 7. There are many new hardware products more specifically mobile phones in the market that are able to exploit all or most of the capabilities of Windows Phone 7 or WP7. Samsung Focus is one such device.

Apart from being compatible with Windows Phone 7, Samsung Focus phone has several other features that make it an attractive mobile to possess. The body of this mobile phone is made from plastic, unlike many other phones, which are made from metal. This makes Samsung Focus much lighter than other mobiles, though it simultaneously moves a notch lower in the high end products. However, this phone comes with a bezel adorning the rim, and making it resemble the Blackberry. The product is also considerably slimmer and stylish in appearance. It is less than five inches in length. Its width is about 2.53 inches, while its thickness is merely 0.39 inch.

Samsung Focus has a RAM of 512 MB, while its ROM is 1GB. In addition to these, it has an 8 GB flash storage. The CPU in this phone is iGHz. Like other recent Samsung products, this product also has AMOLED screen i.e., Active Matrix Organic light Emitting diode lit screen with capacitive multi-touch. The camera built-in in this mobile phone is a 5 megapixel camera. It has an LED flash. In addition to the camera, which is better than the camera in previous phones from Samsung, the device also includes improved GPS chip, Bluetooth, and WiFi.

The unique feature of Samsung Focus is its ability to use the SD slot. Therefore, the 8GB flash storage could be increased to 20 GB within no time with this feature. However, it is ideal to take the biggest cards for inserting in the SD slot as pulling out the card will wipe out the device. The batteries in this mobile phone have to be charged every night because WP7 does use up a lot of charge.

Lastly it has Improved User Interface Experience. Focus integrates beautifully with Microsoft Office including an Outlook Mobile, Bing search Zune and engine. Using the Game Hub, the Focus is the only mobile phone that allows users to play games with Xbox LIVE. And with the Office Hub, users can view, edit, share and sync Office documents even on the go. It has also the Music + Video Hub which provides and allows users to play and download music and videos fast on your phone.
